The Missouri Electric Cooperatives’ 9th annual Lineman’s Rodeo is shaping up to be another successful event!   Eleven Cooperatives will be represented, with 15 teams and a total of 67 linemen registered to compete on October 7th and 8th.  The Rodeo will feature individual and team competitions for apprentice and journeymen linemen, lunch both days, a reception on Wednesday evening and the awards ceremony on Thursday.  Competitive events include a knowledge test, hurt-man rescue, modified pole climb, A5 structure framing & wire dead-end, transformer arrestor change out, extendo stick, and mystery events to be announced.  A number of corporate sponsors have donated to the event, including several that will have a vendor booth set up during the rodeo.  All proceeds from this event will benefit future international projects sponsored by Missouri Electric Cooperatives.  The event is open for all to attend.  Please feel free to join us at any time throughout the competition, visit our vendor sponsors and witness the impressive skills of our linemen on display.
